Stonehouse is a 16th century Jacobean farmhouse set in 12 acres, comprising of 3 separate training paddocks is now available weekly or daily on a self catering basis.

Derek's son Innes is onsite as caretaker to make sure your stay is worry free.

Rooms can be let individually or on a group basis.

 

 When you Stay at stonehouse you will have :

  •  access to  training sheep on site 7 days a week.
  • 24 hour access to The house.This includes your bedroom, the kitchen, A spacious dining and sitting room with a Television and DVD player as well as books etc, bathrooms with shower and a large utility room which has a washing machine.
  • There is also Kenneling for your dogs and areas for you to store dog food etc.
  • You will have access to the lovely garden  to sit and discuss your day with like minded people
  • You will also be welcome on weekdays at Derek's  hill farm in the Lake district, where there are large training fields. His farm is only a picturesque 1 hours drive away. There is a small barn where you can make tea, coffee and shelter from the elements.
  • There will be an opportunity to take part in gathering sheep off the 1,500 acre mountain at Lonscale and the possiblilty of other farm work e.g moving sheep to new locations
